Where boys go after Shrewsbury House - a leading day school for boys, in Surbiton, London Sub Menu

The pupils’ significant achievements include success in pre-assessment in Year 6 for future admission to senior schools.
ISI Inspection Report, May 2013

A major benefit of an independent Preparatory School is that all choices relating to the next educational setting remain open to you as parents for some considerable time.

This enables you to consider better which style of future education may best suit your son, including day schools, full boarding schools, schools offering weekly boarding or day schools with a flexi-boarding option.

Shrewsbury House boys leave the school well prepared to move on to a wide range of prestigious day and boarding schools. The following schools are regular destination of our leavers:

Charterhouse, Cranleigh School, Eton College, Epsom College, Hampton School, Harrow School, King’s College School (Wimbledon), Kingston Grammar, Radley College, Reed’s School, Shrewsbury School, St John’s School, St. Paul’s School, The Royal Grammar School (Guildford), Tonbridge School, Wellington College, Winchester College and Westminster School.

The School publishes a summary of our leavers’ list and their destinations on Latest News, following the completion of the Common Entrance Examinations, in our Speech and Sports Day Programmes and in the Annual School Magazine.

The Headmaster meets formally with parents, usually during their son’s third year at the school (Year 5), to provide extensive personalised advice regarding future schools and the application and pre-assessment processes in place for their potential schools of choice.
