A high achieving, all round school, wonderfully purposeful.
Good Schools Guide

Swimming forms an integral part of school life. Aside from the competitive elements to the year-round programme it is recognised that ensuring that boys are confident and strong in the pool forms part of the school’s duty of care.

The noisy (and great fun) House Galas provide the opportunity for all boys to compete for the pride of their House in competitive races. The pool is situated on site and is open to pupils to participate in extra swimming in their lunch breaks. We also offer other water-based activities such as, water polo and life-saving skills.

Competition is extended throughout the year in competitive galas with local schools. Extending the better swimmers through entry to Regional and National competition is also undertaken. The strong standard of Swimming at Shrewsbury House School has been further extended in recent months with success at National level.

Our recently re-developed Swimming pool will further enhance the delivery of this key sport at Shrewsbury House School.

Mr Davison is Master in Charge of Swimming whilst Swimming lessons are delivered by Aquademy. Lead teacher for Shrewsbury House School is Miss Becky Williams.
