Shrewsbury House is an academically rigorous school. The boys, from 7 -13, are able and will benefit from being stretched intellectually and nurtured pastorally.

  • Vacancy for Director of Music

    Required to start September 2017 or January 2018

    IAPS Day Prep School for 320 boys aged 7 - 13

    Average class size 15 - Maximum class size 18. Circa 43 full time teachers

    Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience

    We are looking to appoint a full-time, highly motivated, flexible, proactive and committed musician to lead our Music Department and to teach pupils in years 3-8. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher, with strong motivational, communication, leadership and administrative skills and will have the ambition and drive to help the Preparatory School to continue its impressive track record of musical excellence. The ability to teach pupils to Common Entrance and Scholarship level and willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the School, are essential.

  • Vacancy for Maintenance Manager

    Full Year / Full Time (52 weeks / 40 hours pw) – Shift pattern

    Salary from £30 – 35K p.a. (dependent on qualifications & experience).

    The Trust requires a flexible, self-motivated and suitably experienced Maintenance Manager to work across all Trust sites, Esher, Surbiton and Chessington (a newly acquired site in Wimbledon will also be coming on line in August 2017.)  A valid driving license is therefore essential.  The successful candidate will work well as part of a team, and have good communication skills.

    Has a vacancy for a Gap student for the Spring and Summer Terms

    Shrewsbury House School in Surbiton is looking to appoint one further Gap student to join the team starting in January 2018 – July 2018.  This Gap student would be involved in supporting the following subject areas:  Sports, Maths, English, Art and DT plus other subjects.  Also giving support to certain year groups.  The Gap student would also be expected to become involved in and provide support to the wider community of the school.
