3 trip: Tate Modern
On Wednesday this week, Year 3 travelled to Tate Modern to
take part in a fun interactive tour based on colour, shape and pattern.
The boys had the opportunity to work with gallery guides who introduced them to
just some of the of the exciting works on display and included the likes of
Henry Moore, Jackson Pollock and Ellsworth Kelly. The boys spent the
afternoon, looking at works in further detail and sketching from their
favourite painting or sculpture. I am pleased to report the boys proved
themselves to be excellent SHS ambassadors, showing good manners and respect
for the many other visitors and staff. Look out in school for a display
of all the work produced and further photographs from the day.
