Latest News Excellent Maths Challenge Results

All boys in Years 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to take part in the annual Mathematical Associations Primary Maths Challenge to round off examination week. With over 2035 schools and close to 79 000 students participating, competition is quite tough! The purpose of the challenge is to promote problem solving in Maths and to allow the children to apply their knowledge to practical situations.

As a department, we were very proud of what the boys managed to achieve this year. Special congratulations to Fraser Cory, Will Hewes, Morgan Jones and Max Mellor who came in the top 1.5 % nationally – they have all qualified for the bonus round to be written in early February!
