Ski Trip 24th February 2015

SHS Ski Trip returns. A tired but elated group of Shrewsbury House School boys, siblings, parents and staff returned to the UK on Sunday following another wonderful week. Now in its third year in Auron (southern France), the resort, snow conditions, hospitality and sunshine again did not disappoint. We arrived to the lovely sight of huge snowflakes falling for many hours and delighted in the anticipation of skiing the fresh stuff on Day 1. Within two days the sun came out and the group enjoyed a week of skiing under deep blue skies. The children enjoyed the excellent French instruction from the same moniteurs as previous years, and it was lovely to see existing relationships rekindled. Couple the amazing skiing in a beautiful resort with lazy lunches on the mountain, ice skating, karaoke, cards, movies and the Nice Carnival and you can see why there were so many smiles on the plane home. My thanks go to Paul Smedley for his easy support of the trip and to all the children and parents who made the trip such a success. See you next year!
