Today SHS had a squashbuckling day celebrating 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. The boys and staff paid homage to the writer by wearing his favourite colour ‘yellow’ in the way of ties, socks and shirts. Tutor time was spent talking about Dahl’s books and voting for favourite titles …results to follow.
The boys were asked to make up their own gobblefunking words, and words from Road Dahl’s dictionary were displayed around the school.
Imaginations were gripped during art lessons as the boys were lost in thought as they created ‘Dream Jars’ from The BFG.
During English lessons the boys were engaged in various quizzes relating to the author; fun and laughter was had by all!
A Dahlicious lunch was prepared for all… James and the giant peach cobbler was scrumptiolous! Overall it was a frumbtious day!
