Last Thursday, Year 6 travelled to Worthing Beach on a Geography field trip. The day allowed the boys to utilise various important geographical skills to gather data that will form the basis of an important Geography field report. Fieldwork and report writing are an integral part of Geography and this experience gave the boys an excellent foundation for their Common Entrance and Scholarship work in Year 8.
The boys learnt how to use clinometers to measure slope angle, calipers to measure pebble size as well as investigating the influence of human activities on the area and practising their field sketching.
It was a very successful day and the weather was fortunately very favourable.
